The Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator (CHEC) Courses and Certification Program, the
first of its kind in the nation, to combine Emergency Management Curriculum with healthcare
specific regulation! Covering topics from NIMS/ICS/HICS to Joint Commission and CMS.
Join the over 500 Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinators from the United States, and more
than 50 internationally! The CHEC Program’s fundamentals enable the content to be adapted
and applied nationwide.
The training program consists of 2 courses taught back-to-back totaling 3 days of training. The
courses consist of the Basic Course, which is 2 days and the Advanced Course, which is 1 day in
length. The courses include lecture, small group work, and practical exercises.
Registration costs cover the course and does not include the cost of obtaining the certification.
